HONG KONG

SYNOPSIS

Cafe/retail shop Tai O Banyan Tree sits in one of Hong Kong’s last fishing villages and should be a tourist destination, but cluttered with crafts and goods from the owners’ travels, it feels more like a hoarder’s home than a lifestyle restaurant. Faced with the challenge of decluttering the restaurant and giving the menu a clear identity, the experts immerse themselves in the Hong Kong culture, hoping to integrate key cultural components into the revamping of the restaurant. If they can’t make serious changes, the restaurant risks imminent closure.
